B/W Laser Printing Is Hassle Free and Incredibly Cheap (1-1-2012)

Dear Friends:

What follows are the Internet Sources defining (1) *The Lowest Cost Black and White Hassle Free Laser Printing That I Know*, and (2) *A Second Option Using a Brother Laser Printer That Is A Newer Model And Is Wireless Capable*. (This second printer is more expensive than the first. Both printers are heavy duty 30K per month duty cycle black and white laser printers.)

The following two Internet Vendors (Amazon.com and 4inkjets.com) represent a heck of a deal as far as laser printing goes.

Here is the deal… One hundred and fifteen dollars for a 30,000 page a month duty cycle laser printer that can print for about a penny and a half a page single sided, and about a penny a page double sided. (I spent a few days in 2010 and 2011 researching this stuff.)

Both Brother Laser printers listed in the material below (the HL-5340D Model and the HL-5370DW Model) are *Duplex Printers*, which means they can readily print either Single or Double Sided (without reloading the paper), depending on what you choose to do.

Not including the Capital Cost of buying the printer itself, *Anyone Can Print At Home* for about one and a half cents per page Single Sided, and about one penny per page when printing Double Sided. These costs are inclusive of the paper needed, the toner use per page, and the drum use per page.

[If one does the math in regard to these costs, a page printed Single Sided actually costs 1.374 cents, or about 1.4 cents. A page printed Double Sided costs .966 cents, or just under one cent. Double sided printing is cheaper because it cuts one’s paper cost in half. I admittedly did not include the freight costs for toner and drum cartridges in the mathematical workup that I did. However, these freight costs are rather small. They do not affect the total cost per printed page that much.]

1. Internet Links for *The Lowest Cost* Black and White *Hassle Free* Laser Printing That I Know:

A. http://www.amazon.com/Brother-HL-5340D-Speed-Printer-Duplex/dp/B001XUQP9G

The above Brother Laser Printer Model HL-5340D from Amazon.com is a 30K duty cycle printer that lists for only $115.99 Freight Free as of 12/31/2011. It comes with a 25K page (25,000 page) drum, and a “starter” low yield toner cartridge that prints 3K pages (3,000 pages).

This HL-5340D Brother Laser Printer Needs To Be Hard-Wired (use a printer cable) to your computer. A Wireless Capable laser printer that does not require a printer cable does cost more, of course.

Incidentally, if you do not have a Printer Cable Amazon.com is a great source for such at prices that are hard to beat. Here is a useful link:http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_3_8?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=printer+cable&sprefix=printer+

The above paper source represents Hammermill’s 99.99% *Jam Free* Copy Paper by the case from Amazon.com. The current cost of this High Quality paper is $40.81 per ten ream case, which represents 5,000 sheets of paper. Amazon does charge freight on orders under fifty dollars. I recommend ordering another ten dollar item from Amazon if you only intended to get a case of paper, as in doing so you are essentially getting this ten dollar item for free.

C. http://www.4inkjets.com/TN650-Brother-Laser-Toner-Black-Compatible?printer=4083

The above is *a Five Star Compatible High Yield Toner Cartridge* that prints 8K pages (8,000 pages). It lists for $28.99.

I consider http://www.4inkjets.com/ the best source in the U.S. for *Top Quality* aftermarket *Compatible Toner Cartridges*.

[Note: Cheaper is not always best when buying Aftermarket Toner Cartridges. One can spend less than 4inkjets.com in this regard, but “Is It Worth It?” is a question I have asked myself. I decided to stick with 4inkjets.com, due to the *Very Satisfied Customer Testimonials” on their website.]

D. http://www.4inkjets.com/DR620-Brother-Laser-Toner-Drum-Compatible?printer=4083

The above is *a Compatible Drum Cartridge* that prints 25K pages (25,000 pages). It lists for $48.99.

I consider http://www.4inkjets.com/ the best source in the U.S. for aftermarket *Compatible Cartridges* of all sorts.

2. Internet Links for *A Second Option Using a Brother Laser Printer (HL-5370DW) That Is A Newer Model And Is Wireless Capable* (it can be hard-wired too).

The above printer is a duplex 30K per month duty cycle printer that costs $221.43 as of 1-1-2012. This HL-5370DW Printer can be both hard-wired (use a printer cable) or run Wireless off of a desktop or laptop computer (the *W* at the end of the Model Number means Wireless capable).

C. http://www.4inkjets.com/TN650-Brother-Laser-Toner-Black-Compatible?printer=4083

The above is *a Five Star Compatible High Yield Toner Cartridge* that prints 8K pages (8,000 pages). It lists for $28.99.

To repeat myself, I consider http://www.4inkjets.com/ the best source in the U.S. for aftermarket *Compatible Toner Cartridges*.

D. http://www.4inkjets.com/DR620-Brother-Laser-Toner-Drum-Compatible?printer=4083

The above is *a Compatible Drum Cartridge* that prints 25K pages (25,000 pages). It lists for $48.99.

********************

Note #1: Items B, C, and D in the above two lists are *Identical*.

********************

Note #2: If you have never owned a laser printer before, there is a simple trick to reduce the possibility of jamming. It is *to fan out the paper* before you load it in the paper tray. This only takes a few seconds or so.

********************

Conclusion

Laser Printing using the sources and printers defined in the above is both *Hassle-Free* and *Incredibly Cheap*.

I Love My HL-5370DW Brother Laser Printer. It has helped me enormously in my work since I bought it a few months ago.

Using Paper that already has three holes in it, or using a three hole punch with plain 8.5 by 11 inch paper, I can easily print *Loose Leaf Books That Fit In Any Standard Three Ring Binder*… and I can do so *for Peanuts*. I can also easily print everything else I might need that only requires Black and White.

What this blog essentially means is *That Anyone Can Have Their Own Professional Print Shop At Home*, and not go broke in doing so.
